\section{Introduction}
This style file is a sample file for IWVCC.

\section{About Shikoku University}
\subsection{History}
Shikoku University can trace its roots back to the Tokushima School of Sewing, which was established in 1925 by founder and first president Katsu Sato to promote the independence of women as specialized professionals. Since then, this institution has educated and sent more than 48,000 talented individuals out into the world.

Well regarded for its strong performance, the school strove to meet the social need for institutions of higher education that could cultivate people equipped with usable skills and an independent mindset by establishing Shikoku Junior College in 1961, a four-year university in 1966, and a graduate school in 1999.

In 1992, in celebration of its 30th anniversary, the university established the new Faculty of Management and Information Science, changed its name to Shikoku University, and adopted a co-educational structure.

With the establishment of the new Faculty of Nursing in 2009, the university now boasts three graduate school programs, a Faculty of Literature with three departments, a Faculty of Management and Information Science with two departments, a Faculty of Human Life Science with two departments and one training department, a Faculty of Nursing with one department, and a junior college with four departments and two majors. Everyday Shikoku University continues to robustly develop and expand its educational offerings.

\subsection{Our Founding Principle: Holistic Independence}
Our founding principle, "Holistic Independence," expresses our goal of equipping students with knowledge and skills, while fostering their personal growth and ensuring that they have the practical skills they will need to contribute to society.

\subsection{Educational Philosophy: Explore Your Future}
A university's most important tasks are to equip students with specialized knowledge as well as a broad-based education, to allow each student to pursue their own dreams, and to help students flourish and tap into their vast and unlimited potential. "Explore Your Future" is the educational philosophy of Shikoku University. We offer an educational environment befitting a prestigious institution of higher education; we have a full range of facilities and systems and our instructors, who are experts in their respective fields, provide consistent support to help students explore their academic interests.

Shikoku University teaches specialized knowledge and practical skills that will be useful to students in the real world.

To do this, we provide thoughtful and carefully tailored academic guidance that places the highest priority on meeting the needs of individual students, always striving to provide education that meets these four criteria:

\begin{itemize}
\item Education that cultivates independent-minded individuals and upstanding citizens
\item Education that equips students not only to absorb knowledge, but to explore their own ideas
\item Education that emphasizes personal interactions between instructors and students
\item Education that respects personal growth along with academic scholarship
\end{itemize}
